Is this the same as SHUANGLIN VALVE's magnetic locking ball valve? No. The ball valve version locks the open/closed shut-off position to prevent unauthorized operation. This regulating valve instead locks a specific flow adjustment setting in place, protecting a commissioned balance point from being accidentally or deliberately changed.
Can the flow setting still be checked without the key? The flow setting itself is fixed mechanically once configured; the magnetic lock only prevents the adjustment mechanism from being turned. Verifying actual flow typically requires standard commissioning instruments rather than visual inspection of a dial, since the setting is concealed.
